LOST

Brian Robertson, sole passenger on a Cessna 406, is on his way to visit his father when the tiny bush plane crashes in the Canadian wilderness. With nothing but his clothing, a tattered windbreaker, and the hatchet his mother had given him as a present, Brian finds himself completely alone.

Challenged by his fear and despair -- and plagued with the weight of a dreadful secret he's been keeping since his parent's divorce -- brian must tame his inner demons in order to survive. It will take all his know-how and determination, and more courage than he knew he possessed.

"Hatchet" by Gary Paulson tells about the life of the courageous boy Brian. He is flying in a plane when the plane's pilot has a heart attack. Brian is now stuck in the Canadion wilderness with only a hatchet. He finds a small overhang of rocks that he calls home (for now). Brian finds a survival pack in the crashed plane, and there is a radio in there so he calls for help. If you like survival you should read the book. 🙂🥹😲

Brian Robeson, a thirteen-year-old boy traveling in a small airplane to Canada to spend the summer with his father, is involved in a plane crash in an uninhabited part of the Canadian woods after the pilot dies of a heart attack. Brian then must find a way to survive and in the process, discovers much about himself and becomes a man. The motif within this story is a bildungsroman, or a young boy’s coming of age. Read this book! It is super interesting.
