This was a VERY good book! It was absolutely NOT cute! It was about a girl named Mibs who goes looking for her dad. She stows away on a bus that has the name of the city she's going to right on it, thinking it will take her just where she needs to go. But when the bus takes a wrong turn, and starts heading in the opposite direction of where she needs to go, Mibs doesn't know what to do. As she hides in the bus and waits for it to take her to that certain city in Kansas, she discovers that, sometimes, a good thing really can come from a bad thing.
This was a very good book! It was about a girl whose poppa got in a car wreck and she's trying to get to him. But when the bus she's stowed away on a bus that turns the wrong way, she doesn't know what to do. Can something good really come from something bad, as the lady up front says?

I found this book to be interesting, about a family with special powers, or savvies, that make them a pretty unusual family. They are having a somewhat normal life after moving to Nebraska, but then their father gets injured during a motorcycle accident. Mibs feels that she has to use her savvy to save her dad and gets in a van she thinks is on the way to where her dad is so she can save him. I felt that the book was pretty interesting, but that the plot could have been stronger and there could have been more interesting characters. I also found Mibs's savvy to be very confusing, and very weird compared to the other savvies of her family.
Savvy by Ingrid Law is a amazing tale of a young woman's journey to find her place in the world. she encounters a band of misfits who come along and she never thought they would stand by her side. It is a story of hope, courage, growing up, and of learning to understand that not everything, or everyone, is as they first appear. I recommend this book to every one who loves a well written book and a good story to sit down to.
Savvy was a very interesting book. But I have no problems with it. The characters are well thought-out, as is the story. I think anyone who enjoys slightly, but not very, complex plots would enjoy this book. At least, I did, and I recommend it.

But when they discover that Father has been in a terrible accident, Mibs is determined that her savvy can save him and sneaks onto a bus to get to the hospital, along with two brothers and 2 friends. But the bus heads off in the opposite direction, and Mibs and her companions have to find a way to get out of the mess. It's really fun and exciting to read.
