Raina can't wait to be a big sister. But once Amara is born, things aren't quite how she expected them to be. Amara is cute, but she's also a cranky, grouchy baby, and mostly prefers to play by herself. Their relationship doesn't improve much over the years, but when a baby brother enters the picture and later, something doesn't seem right between their parents, they realize they must figure out how to get along. They are sisters, after all.
Raina uses her signature humor and charm in both present-day narrative and perfectly placed flashbacks to tell the story of her relationship with her sister, which unfolds during the course of a road trip from their home in San Francisco to a family reunion in Colorado.

Raina telegremia your the best author ever ☆ you
This book is about two sisters one of them is small and weird but the other one is older. The girls are named Raina and Amara. They fight all the time and they never stop. In this book they had to go on a road trip to aunt Mary's. But they had t stay in the car for 1 week.
This book is me and my sister....most of the time. I get mad at her all the time but i still love her.
Having a sister or sibling is not that easy. You might argue a lot and disagree, but other times you guys are like best friends. If you have a sister or any sibling in fact, you can probably relate to Raina's tale. Raina Telgemeier has always wanted a sister. However, when her sister is born her expectations do not meet her reality. She expected her sister to play with her, joke around with her, spend time with her, and share with her. Instead, she got a cranky, grouchy baby, that mostly prefers to play by herself. Their relationship doesn't improve much over the years. This story is mostly showing times with Raina and her sister and their disagreements. For instance, Raina's sister, Amara really wanted a snake and Raina was extremely grossed out. I recommend this book to people that can relate. Or people that always wondered what it would be like to have a sibling because this book is kind of accurate. I also recommend this relatable story if you like graphic novels. Overall, I rate this book 4/5.
this book is literally me and my sister, like im not even kidding.
me too effie302!
Same here! Exactly like me and my younger sister! I always wanted a sister then when she was born I was shocked! I thought she would be nice as a tiny baby but instead she would cry and sleep and eat! And get this! : When she was born I went to the hospital the first day she got born and I expected her to talk to me right after she gets born! 😂😂
this book is literally based off both me and my sisters relationship and its so accurate to the touch!!!! this is the only reason why I read this book 20 times!
