This book was really awesome. This book is all about books. There is a kid named Alec. It is about how the Losers Club got started and the conflicts
The Loser’s Club is a pretty good book. It’s about Alec, a guy who loves reading books. He loves to read in class but isn’t allowed to (which is VERY relatable) and he is forced to quit. Instead, he decides to make The Loser’s Club, an after-school club for kids who want to read. People are either against it or for it, but everyone is curious about it. Slowly, people start joining, but Alec has problems of his own, like a rival and a girl. Not only does this book include over 50 book references, but it has a satisfying ending!
When Alec's parents sign him up for after school clubs Alec wants to just sit and read but when the teacher finds him just reading she says he has to join a club or make a club but to make a club you have to have a partner. When Alec finds another girl reading at one of the origami tables he thinks that she and him can make a reading club that no one wants to join because it's name is the losers club. When he asks the girl Nora , Nora says yes when Alec convinces her that with a name like the losers club nobody will want to join. After several weeks they realize that on open house they have to make a presentation of what they did in the year so far. That's where the plot forms it gets complicated and other people wants to join. Nora and Alec also encounter Kent and between Nora, him, and Alec a little competition forms. I like this book because it is filled with ups and downs and it was one of the books that lights a fire in your heart that's what my teacher said, Mr. Baran when I was in second grade.
Alec is a sixth-grade student who loves to read. Unfortunately, his mean principal made a rule, no reading in class. Mrs. Vance (the principal), even threatened Alec about going to summer school if he doesn't pay attention. This book is overall very good, and I recommend it to anyone who loves to read. Alec creates a club, the losers club, and doesn't really expect anyone to join him. To his surprise, people actually join. Including a girl he likes named Nina.
anything by Andrew Clements is a must read, if you have read frindle and the report card than this is the book for you, if you havn't than it still is. this is about a kid who loves to read but cant read that much, find out what he does just to read, and how him and his brother leave a legacy.
i love this author so i love this book, but apart from that if you have read the report card or frindle than this is the book for you fun, adventurous, and has mystery. if you love to read than read about a boy who loves to read and how he finds time for treading, how him and his little brother leave an everlasting legacy its truely amazing, and i would recomend it

I love chapter books that talk about great reads. I am also a fan of Andrew Clements' books. I've read three of them already! In this one, Alec keeps getting punished for reading in class, so he starts a solo club that soon becomes popular. Give this book a try!
I like this book because there are so many lessons. Like to go with the flow.I think you will like this if you like action. If you like this book you may want to read more Raina Telgemeier books.
