Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school... again. No matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to stay out of trouble. But can he really be expected to stand by and watch while a bully picks on his scrawny best friend? Or not defend himself against his pre-algebra teacher when she turns into a monster and tries to kill him? Of course, no one believes Percy about the monster incident; he's not even sure he believes himself. Until the Minotaur chases him to summer camp. Suddenly, mythical creatures seem to be walking straight out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology textbook and into his life. The gods of Mount Olympus, he's coming to realize, are very much alive in the twenty-first century. And worse, he's angered a few of them: Zeus's master lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Now Percy has just ten days to find and return Zeus's stolen property, and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus. On a daring road trip from their summer camp in New York to the gates of the Underworld in Los Angeles, Percy and his friends -- one a satyr and the other the demigod daughter of Athena -- will face a host of enemies determined to stop them. To succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the true thief: he must come to terms with the father who abandoned him; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of failure and betrayal by a friend; and unravel a treachery more powerful than the gods themselves.

This book is amazing! It takes us in to adventures and made us feel in suspence. I love the part where Percy met his farther and every thing was happy again. I have also saw this movie and they are both good. I recomend it to 8 to 18 years old.

i love it its such a good book:)

This book is all right, but the move is much better.

I completely disagree but everyone has their own opinions :)

The 1st book of an amazing series. Words literally can't explain how much I love Percy Jackson! Trust me, it will be one of your favourite book series. I recommend it for people who like Greek Mythology/Fantasy or looking for a series that's super interesting and funny too. The characters are really well developed and you'll love the main characters, Percy, Annabeth and Grover. You should also read this book if you like Harry Potter, it's quite similar but with a bit more humour and character development. Any age can read this, but it's best for probably ages 9+. Enjoy!

Percy Jackson is just a normal boy. With incredibly bad luck. Or so he thinks. But when his mother tries to take him to summer camp, and a minotaur attacks him, he knows something's up. Percy discovers he is the son of Poseidon, and embarks on a series of adventures where he is at the full mercy of the Greek gods.

If you are really into Greek mythology, especially gods like Poseidon, and Zeus, and Hades, than this book is definitely your style. It introduces the prospect of Oracles, sons and daughters of gods, (demigods). The prospect of true myths, and people and places from the Greek myths. All of them are real in this book. Percy Jackson is the main character (obviously) and he often gets into trouble. He definitely is way more reckless that Harry Potter, I can tell you that much. There are five books in the first series, (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) and five in the second series(Heroes of Olympus). Have fun reading it, and get lost in this book!

So basically I like this book cuz it's really awesome and I read it cuz my friend made me and I don't regret it😁😁

Imagine not knowing who your dad is, your mom married to a smelly man, and having reading disabilities, only to find out that your dad is the Greek god”Poseidon” you’re a demigod, and Greek mythology is real, how would you react? Read this book written by Rick Riordan, and find out how Percy Jackson, a 16 year old kid handled his life, while saving the world.

I like this book. I mean not like I LOVE Percy Jackson I recommend it for EVERYBODY!!!
