This book shows the past and what it was like for people who were not white. I thought there was some detailed structure and the message of this book comes through really well. Stand up for what's right even in bad situations. That's what I got out of this book. I think Mildred did a wonderful job expressing what she has seen, detail in all. I look forward to reading another book by her. Always help others even when you know its wrong, stand up for what's right.

Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor is a very good book. This book shows the old days and shows racism is not okay. It also shows sexism isn't okay either. This book shows no matter how old you are you can do a lot!
At firs this book was boring until the middle.n Just like always at that point the story picks up and gets good. The story was good since I feel the author truly expressed the sadness they felt and how outrageous the segregation was. It made me better understand the concept of the struggle between the whites and the blacks at that time. The story builds up to a fiery climax that was just astonishing. A lot of people complain about the use of a bad word but with out it you wouldn't truly feel the horror they felt long ago
The worst book I have ever read in my life
This book is so intense and sad. I feel so bad for T.J. Mr. Morrison lifts a truck it is so amazing good! I recommend this book to everyone.
This is a story of hope. The author has such good writing, and it describes the struggle for equality amongst segregation and sadness. I was inspired because of this book, and it will stay with me for the rest of my life.
