Warren The 13th and The All Seeing-Eye is a mystery/fantasy about a young boy who's name is Warren. I thought 256 pages was long but it went by super fast; I couldn't put the book down. I read for two hour straight. There are many interesting and puzzle-like illustrations that really showed how the characters live and what life was like for Warren, the main character. The more you read the more you become interested. The story takes place in an old, abandoned hotel. Warren the 13th is an Orphan whose father died. When Warren turns 18 he can finally own the hotel. Unfortunately for Warren, he is younger than that, so his fat and lazy Uncle Rupert and Rupert’s “loving” aunt become caretakers. But his Aunt Annaconda married Rupert just for the treasure (the all seeing-eye). Aunt Annaconda: The perfect wife to her dear husband Rupert, but with Warren she is a devilish witch. She is so mean she even made poor Warren sleep in the a boiler room. She really has only married Rupert for the treasure (All Seeing-Eye). The major conflict is that Warren and Annaconda are trying to get the mysterious object. We don't know WHAT IT IS and it is a mystery to WHERE IT IS! I really liked this book because it is a cliff hanger within each chapter, so you keep on reading chapter after chapter!! Warning, get cozy before you open the book.

I'm happy you enjoyed it, mimibell! Thanks for the review!

This isn't just a book. I mean, yes, of course it's a book, but it's more than that. Aside from the exciting story (which is full of plot twists and mystery) and quirky characters, Warren the 13th also features great art and little hidden puzzles within the pages. I really loved how pretty this book is, which illustrations in black, white and red and a two-column format for the text. I'd recommend this book to anyone who enjoys unique characters, graphic novels, and mysteries.

I really enjoyed this book!!! Warren the 13th, comes from a long line of Warrens in his family. His father, Warren the 12 died when Warren was really young, so the family business a giant hotel was handed over to Warrens uncle, Rupert. While it had taken 12 years of generations of Warrens to make the hotel popular and grand, it only took 5 years with uncle Rupert to become trashed. But Rupert marries Aunt Annaconda, who does NOT help the situation at hand. Whenever Rupert is in sight she acts so lovey dovey, but when she is alone with Warren she drops the act. As it went the only reason Annaconda married Rupert was because of the all seeing eye. She wants it, and bad but Warren is determined to find it. Who will find the All Seeing Eye first? My favorite character in this story is Warren, because of his nice and helpful characteristics. I think the message in this story is to work hard and never give up!! I hope you enjoy this book!!!!!!!

A great book about Warren the 13th, 13th generation of the Warren Hotel. Due to his parents' deaths, the hotel goes into the hands of his lazy uncle and his evil Aunt Annaconda. The hotel falls into disrepair, and when Aunt Annaconda searches for the all-seeing-eye, Warren must stop her.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. In only about 3 days I whizzed through this book, start to end. It reminded me of Brian Selznick's books (The Invention of Hugo Cabaret, Wonderstruck) because almost every page has detailed illustrations that helped tell the story and also helped the reader visualize what each of the wacky characters looked like. The book is basically about a orphan boy who inherits his family's hotel. What used to be a lavish resort has turned into a dumpy wreck thanks to his uncle, Rupert, ever since he married Warren's evil Aunt Anaconda. But Warren is convinced that he can restore the hotel's state to it's past glory. However, his Aunt has some motives of her own - she is a dark witch who is convinced of the All-Seeing Eye; a mysterious, mythical treasure that she believed will make her even more powerful. As Warren makes it his mission to stop her from ever finding the All-Seeing Eye he finds unlikely friendships blooming and an even more unlikely end to the chase. This is a great mystery, extremely well-written and illustrated. I definitely recommend it!

I'm glad you enjoyed it, borntoswim! Thanks for reviewing! :)

When I first started this book, I didn't have high expectations. But I was entertained and intrigued throughout for the most part. It was nice to see a character who is unlucky, yet very optimistic. Warren the 13th, an orphan who is the bellhop at his family hotel, has lately been feeling terrible, which was rare, ever since his Aunt Anaconda took over the hotel. Soon, Warren realizes that his Aunt, and the hotel, isn't as it seems. He sets out to find a myserious treasure before Anaconda or the faculty does if he wants to save the family and hotel. If you like the sound of this story, entertaining illustrations, and are around the middle school age, this book is for you.
