The seven dragon tribes have been at war for generations, locked in an endless battle over an ancient, lost treasure. A secret movement called the Talons of Peace is determined to bring an end to the fighting, with the help of a prophecy -- a foretelling that calls for great sacrifice.
Five dragonets are collected to fulfill the prophecy, raised in a hidden cave and enlisted, against their will, to end the terrible war.
But not every dragonet wants a destiny. And when the select five escape their underground captors to look for their original homes, what has been unleashed on the dragon world may be far more than the revolutionary planners intended . . .

This book is well done. When I first got this book I shunned it away but once I opened the book, I was hooked! This is a great book for anybody who like dragons.
This book is the coolest! The pictures are carefully drawed!
this is the best book series in the world, everybody from year 4-7 should read it, i totally recommend it. every book and every chapter has a cliffhanger which makes you want to read all of them. i don't understand why some people don't like this series. if u find this first book boring-ish then don't stop because the second book and the rest of the series is infinity times better! must, must must read!
I think this book is a very nice book. Clay, Glory, Sunny, Tsunami and Starflight are dragonets known to be the dragonets of prophecy. 3 queens : Blister, Blaze and Burn, are currently fighting for the throne of the SandWing queen and each dragon tribe is choosing a queen to support. The dragonets are currently stuck in a cave, and their teachers show no means of letting them out. Frustrated and wanting to know the outside world, the dragonets work together and finally get out of the cave. The explore the outside world gleefully, although not being so careful. The eventually get captured by the SkyWing tribe. Every dragonet gets locked up, except Glory, whose RainWing powers of changing to different colours catches Queen Scarlet’s (The queen of the SkyWing tribe) eye and makes Glory a piece of artwork to admire. Each one of the dragonets compete in the arena for Scarlet’s entertainment. Tsunami ends of killing Gill, which she later finds out is her father, she is horrified and extremely regretful. Clay faces another dragon, but suddenly some dragon shoots some venom into Clay’s opponent. Everyone is shocked and thinks Clay can shoot venom, but they later find out it is Glory, and later Glory shoots venom onto Queen Scarlet’s face and injures her badly, then the dragonets escape and they head off to find Tsunami’s family under the sea!
I really like this book. Glory has to be my favorite Dragon because she is the most like me. She showed that being a Rain Wing isn't just sleeping all the time and that they actually have a fierce side to them. This a spoiler but in book 3 Glory becomes queen of the Rain Wings and in book 4 she gets all the Night Wings to surrender to her! ( Except Morrowseer) So, I would highly recommend this book. Everything Glory accomplished though was only made possible by the help of her friends, Clay( MudWing), Tsunami (SeaWing), Sunny (SandWing), and Starflight (NightWing).
I have that book.
One of the best written book series I've ever read! Every chapter has a cliffhanger and its just soooooo good! I totally recomend this book even if you're more into human fantasy this is definitely the series for you! I love it!
This book is the coolest. It is the first book of the series. In my school this series is so popular that I had to wait 1 MONTH for one of the books!
