Get involved in the astounding and magical adventure of the dragonets as they save the day! Wings of Fire is a series of books about the world of dragons getting in chaos. The chosen dragons told by the Dragonet Prophecy were Clay, Tsunami, Glory, Sunny, and Starflight. This book was recommended by my friends Michelle and Natasha. I honestly wasn’t interested at first, but I was hooked in after I started reading it! There are humorous conversations, thrilling adventure, as well as thoughts on life that are actually considerate. The five dragons had different feelings about being chosen. One of them thought destiny is destiny, so whatever they do must be right. However, I didn’t really agree about it since I think we could be the ones that seize and change our destiny and there’re a lot of things in life that are simply just a decision. Read this book and get sucked into it! I can’t wait to read the second book! :))

I was reorganizing my bookshelf and I found this book. I recalled it was my sister’s Christmas gift several years ago. I read it for simply entertainment after finishing all of my work. I must say the words in the book are seriously simple and easy. However, this book was written well since it is close to a lot of teenagers’ life. Who doesn’t want to hog the spotlight and rule the whole school? Who doesn’t want to be popular? Amy was a new student to Allington Academy. She tried to blend in the League, where the queen bee, Fiona belongs. What will you do if you were her? Will you try to get into the League and become well-known? I recommend this book to those who tried their best to become famous in their school. Being in the League may be something honorable in some ways, but it might had come together by tons of lies and fakeness. Anyways, be yourself when you can and always do your best!

What happened afterwards? After Jonas took Gabriel to elsewhere? I had always been a fan of the The Giver quartet. As I was reading this book, I felt like being a part of it since everything came along together smoothly and everything in the book seemed so familiar. If you had read The Giver, I recommend you to finish up this book as well! The reason why will simply be while recalling the exhilarating stories of The Giver, new adventures await. Since Son was written in a totally different point of view, you’ll find out exploring what was happening on the other hand very interesting. Well, not just the story itself, but also the lessons and things I had learnt from it, were all reasons this book is recommended by me. You’ll find out everything has a dark side no matter how perfect it seems. Enjoy the adventure of Claire, Gabriel’s mother, and let your soul be cleansed by her spirit!

The Silent Boy tells the story of Jacob from Katherine’s point of view. The background of the story threw way back to 1908 to 1911 before World War 1. Jacob was a “touched” boy, which means he had problems on mental health and couldn’t talk. Katherine, extremely different from Jacob, was a doctor’s daughter who was only in second grade. I personally think this book is deep in its meaning but not within the use of words. Living in a distinct way, Jacob barely spoke and was trying to hide himself. Throughout the words, I could feel the growth of the friendship between Jacob and Katherine. Even though he never talked or looked at her, she understood Jacob through observing and feeling. I like this book, but I personally think the author wrote the story too exquisitely if Katherine was the speaker.

“Take pride in your pain,” Kira had always kept what her mother told her in mind. She became orphaned after her mom died and was born with a twisted leg, which decreased her value in the civilization she lived. When she was likely to face death, but the Council of Guardians gave her an admirable role because of her magical talents of weaving. This book could be easily understood yet is deep and inspirational. Kira is totally a role model to me. She faced her pain with bravery and pride, just like what her mother told her to. Days had been tough to her even though she had a special job. She later found out there are secrets hidden behind everything that seemed to be perfect. I deeply esteem her since I think she changed, grew, and became independent especially when there was such a dramatic change in her life. Through the story, Matt is someone I appreciate a lot, too. He showed and defined friendship, because he offered Kira help when no one was there to give her a hand while she was struggling through a life that seemed to be more uncertain and frightening than an actual nightmare. I really enjoyed it and was touched.
