I don't think it ,matters that he was a bad person; if he had not sailed to the Americas, the United states might have been colonized by Portugal or France instead of by England. Plus, Columbus was Spanish, so my ancestors (From Germany) never did anything against Indians.Over 4 years agovenom131313 added a new comment in
Equality doesn't mean the same. I know many boys that are better at math than some girls, but I also know many girls that are better at math than some boys. We all learn at a different rate, regardless of gender, so I think that all this article proves is that our brains are the same.Over 4 years agovenom131313 added a new comment in

Seriously, I just don't see the problem. If you had bought the dog, and then had problems with it adjusting, you would have to sell it and that would be worse for the dog. I have had to do this because our first dog had been abused and hated small girls for that reason. It was always barking at them, and it hated, my baby sister and our neighbors children. So this is a great way to get to know the dog, see if it fits in your house, figure out how and where to walk and feed it. It's genius!Almost 5 years agovenom131313 added a new comment in

I don't really think it matters how 'bad' he was because 1. That was how people thought at the time 2. Regardless of his purposes, without his 'discovery' (Because vikings were actually the first people to sail to North America) Europeans would not have come to America until much later (excluding Vikings) 3. Columbus Day was a celebration of the 'discovery' of America by Europe, so why would we change it to a celebration of native people?!Almost 5 years agovenom131313 added a new comment in
We aren't celebrating Columbus because he was a nice guy, we're celebrating him because he sailed to America, and introduced Europe to America, one of the most monumental events in human history! If he hadn't done that, things would not be as they are today. For these reasons (and the one I poster earlier) I think it should continue to be called Columbus Day!Almost 5 years agovenom131313 added a new comment in
